Hello,
I'm a mature age student and will be completing my VCE at CAE next year with four subjects: Legal studies, English language, Philosophy, and Classical studies. Can anyone give advise as to how synergistic these subjects are? I'm quite positive that Legal studies, English language, and Philosophy are subjects that I'd enjoy, but as for Classical studies, I am unsure --- Literature, I've heard, is similar to Classical studies, but a lot more popular and will potentially improve my ATAR via subject bonus points if I manage to achieve a 35 SS.
There are 4 other subjects I could do instead: English, Literature, History revolutions, and Global politics. History revolutions is the subject I am leaning towards as a replacement for Classical Studies. I chose Classical studies as I thought it'd be a mix of literature and history in addition to providing some variation in my subject selection.
I'd appreciate any input on these subjects or general advise for a mature aged student completing VCE.
Thanks.
TL;DR: Mature aged student doing VCE with 4 subjects --- English Language, Philosophy, Legal Studies, and Classical Studies --- and wanting to know if they compliment each other. I am unsure if I should change Classical studies for History revolutions or something else.
