I think if you don't have a good grasp of circular functions in 1/2 then you will have trouble with it in 3/4.

Furthermore, if you get the key ideas of probability in 3/4 I think it shouldn't be too hard

I think Marvoc chains are the hardest to understand initially

By looking at the Essentials 1+2 book right now, almost everything (except simulation) will come up in yr 12 methods.
If your doing Maths Quest in yr 11 (like I did) you have a lot of work to do in yr 12 cos' it doesnt cover stuff like finding the area under the curve.

I agree with everything that TT has just said?  Why?  Because I'm officially on that boat...  :(

Bleh, yet another reason to hate maths quest books (my first being that the Methods 1+2 CAS is made out of toilet paper while non CAS isn't...). Err...what else is Maths Quest missing that I should learn before next year?

On topic, I found circular functions the hardest so far (all we got left is finishing off apps of differentiation and probability).
Hmm...next year already. Well better set my goals and all...(raw)

I thought probability that carried over from methods 1/2 were the hardest. Normal distributions weren't too bad.

Hm interesting, i havent done circular functions as of yet (1/2) but in my opinion so far probability has been the hardest.

3/4 prob is soo much easier then 1/2 prob.

a lot of useless probability is taught in 1/2

Definitely the Unit 1/2 probability carried into 3/4. I think that's the only section that I lost marks in on the exam.

Dam probability is pretty much the only topic that i've struggled to grasp so far. Its just so technical. Glad it gets easier in 3/4.
