can you double major in a science degree?

I was looking at the monash handbook, and just realized there are not enough elective/minor spaces available to double major in Science.

But there appears to be enough for arts, commerce, etc

Is this true or am I reading it wrong?

You can definitely double major in Science,  you simply complete a second Major Sequence with your "elective units".

If you are doing a single science degree, yes you can use your electives to double major. You cannot double major if you are doing a double degree of science/something else.

Overloading or doing summer semesters does not change the total number of units you do in your degree overall,  it just let's you either underload, or  finish your degree faster.

This is because the degree/double degree you do limits you to only a number of units  (ie.  You can only complete a maximum of 24 units for a 3 year degree).  Any extra units you take will be part of a single unit study,  which is full-fee and does not contribute to your degree.
