Where to find modern media examples for 2016! Hint: Massive advantage!

Many past high-scoring graduates of VCE English Language have stated to me that what allowed them to attain high scores in the essay section was… the use of modern media examples! Yes, modern media examples. I genuinely believe many students are aware of this, but I also believe that many students don’t know where to look or even how to look. My aim is to demystify this dilemma today (well, hopefully!).

How recent do you think the articles and examples should be? Is early 2015 too old? Late 2015? Should all referenced articles be written in 2016? Thank you!

I reckon a less recent yet great example is better than a more recent yet sub par one.

Early 2015 is still pretty recent imo, although by the time of the exam it'd be almost two years old. However, it would still be very much relevant.

It would be good to have a mix of both 2015 and 2016 examples, however with that being said, a 2016 example would show greater linguistic awareness to the assessors. It basically shows that you're observing what's happening out in the real world and will allow you to showcase this ability in great detail
