For module C, what is included in a 'landscape?' Is it just the Earth and what grows out of it? Or can it be the birds, the dragonflies, anything that's in the landscape?

I think you could include those things in the landscape definition (didn't study Landscapes but that's my understanding, it is an all encompassing thing!)

I was wondering if someone could have a quick read of my descriptions of voice in 1984. I am not sure if I am describing voice correctly  :P

Authorial voice: 1984 is written in what can be described as a critical authorial voice towards the imagery of oppression and manipulation through a government’s abuse of power and control.

Winston's voice: The silenced voice of an individual living under a tyrannical regime.

The only bit that sticks out to me as jarring is the "authorial voice TOWARDS the imagery..." The towards bit doesn't seem right, it's not clear to me what you are trying to express. Are you meaning, "as evidenced in the imagery of..."?

The other parts seem great to me - to the point and clear. Just not sure about this little bit :)

Hi,
This might be a silly question but what is the wonder of discovery? My assessment is a creative writing on the wonder of discovery and I'm kind of stuck in what direction to go in. Any examples of wonder of discovery would be greatly appreciated

I was wondering if I could have some help brainstorming some issues and values exhibited in 1984 by George Orwell.
So far I have

Values:
education
egalitarianism
fairness
family
individuality
justice
sense of belonging

Issues:
totalitarinism
manipulation
obstruction of justice
invasion of privacy

I think this is very much a matter of personal interpretation! What is wonderful about discovery? Is it the challenges it presents us, the transformations it inspires, the new connections we make along the way - Sounds a bit cheesy but that's the sort of stuff they'd be looking for ;D

I'd add 'control' or something similar to your list of values, though you do have manipulation in your issues list so that should work - Good brainstorm! :)

You'd be out a handful of marks for not answering the question, but I have no idea exactly how many! You'd definitely still be able to get mid-to-high teens I reckon ;D

Hey guys!

This is probably a silly question but is there a limit as to how long the quotes can be?

No but you should use your common sense, ideally not much longer than a line! Remember you can use ellipsis to cut out pieces that aren't important ;D

When you so 'not much longer than a line,' is this typed or handwritten?

Handwritten, line and a half was my longest - It's not a hard and fast rule of course but you really have to be careful you aren't putting in unnecessary stuff :)

I was wondering could you say that the 18th century Europe could described as a time of superstition?

Hi! Gender is also a super important one to consider! The treatment of women within the texts, and their perceived role in society 😊
