Get a Pentel P205!
Had a check and it looks like a nice pen! Only I think it might be on the heavy side for pen-spinning plus the metal tip looks a bit fragile since I do drop my pen quite a lot (mainly on the barrel unless it falls of the table) and I'm afraid it'd break otherwise >.<

Papermate Kilometrico Gel 0.7  8)

You can buy these in a pack: 2 black 2 blue and 1 red = $4 at officeworks.

Oh boy

For pens I use fountain pens because it works out cheaper in the end with refills and that jazz, for $3 off eBay you can get a jintao lamy knockoff which are actually amazing. Otherwise invest in a good one that will last you the rest of your lifetime, it's a small cost for something you use everyfay

I use skateboard griptape to get better grip when my hands are sweaty because most fountain pens have slippery grip sections

For pencils, again i believe that you should invest a bit for such a useful item. I've got a retro 51 pencil (can't remember the exact model) but it looks exactly like a rotring 500 and has lasted me over a year. I engraved my name on it so noone can steal it (people always try, no chance bruh)

All I needed for year 12 was my one pen and one pencil and they both lasted the whole year of being thrown at walls, used as drumsticks, and being used to stab classmates on a regular basis (all boys school life). Hopefully they last all the way through uni as well, and considering they're both made of metal I give them a strong chance

It's pretty sturdy, don't worry about it bending. I damaged mine, and they sent me a new pen for free. It's fairly pricey for a pencil though ($13 at officeworks), but well worth it in my opinion. I recommend that you put a pen lid on it or something to protect it.

I don't have any favourite pen in particular, but I prefer finer tips (0.7 or 0.5). Mechanical pencils all the way though - I use the papermate comfortmate ultra 0.5mm. Really sturdy, and I'm a big fan of the curved shape because it's super comfortable to use. They were a few dollars for a two pack with 5 eraser refills and 12 replacement HB leads from Officeworks.

As for mech pencils:
Pentel Graphgear is my recommendation, although the Rotring series is quite nice (albeit pricey).

Which GraphGear and Rotring do you use?

Personally I can't go past inkjoys, just because they don't really smudge and have a fat enough grip for me, although they hurt your hand after a while. I also like my Dr Grip black pen (Pilot I think?), nice and comfortable grip.

If anyone has any good pens for left handers please hmu, otherwise the English exam is going to kill me
