Hard Sacs :/

Hey guys,
Unit 3 Application task which is split into 3 sacs (1a 1b 1c) is worth 100 marks for Unit 3
However, my school being one of the high achieving ones, has made our sacs incredibly hard.
The cohort average for the last 2 parts was around 60% im sitting at 50%...how concerned should i be.

P.S we are doing Exam 2 extended response style questions but our SAC questions are much harder.

What school are you from? One of the select entry school? Because the two parts of the SAC that we had were also really hard, but the second part being much more difficult than the first.

http://www.vcaa.vic.edu.au/Documents/exams/mathematics/2011mmcas2-w.pdf     (question 4)
similar to this was the first and most easiest question on the SAC, here on it just got harder.

Sacs get scaled anyway. Important thing is your ranking

2018: Doctor of Medicine (Withdrawn)
2019: Bachelor of Commerce (Actuarial Studies?)

I think I got all of question 4 correct, but I made a few very silly mistakes. Hopefully I can get above 80% though, although the question that was wrong wasted 15 mins of my time.

Were your SACS all individual work? or did it have a discussion allowed phase?

It was done in a period of 70 mins, with 10 mins reading time, so it was all individual work.

when you say "how concerned should you be?" it depends what you are speaking in reference to.
if you are worried about your study score, I wouldnt worry too much about your sac score, worry about your sac ranking. hard sacs scale up. in fact at the end of the day, your raw sac marks dont matter. all that matters is your ranking in your cohort for the subject.
someone who is ranked first in their school in methods but has a sac average of 70% is in the same position as someone ranked first at another school with a sac average of 100%, it will be the exam that separates them.
if you are worried about your level of preparation for the exam, harder questions in sacs means that the exam will be relatively easier.
so overall you are probably in a better position if your school has hard sacs with an average mark of 60%
