How do you make a effective study plan for exams

The exams are approaching, and i am here struggling to create a study plan, because i have never really made one before.

I really want to do well for this biology exam (unit 1). Having one week left till exams, i want to ask for some advise when it comes to planning out your study for a biology exam. Do you re-read the entire 8 chapters, take notes or rather spend more time on doing practice questions and exams?

I've found that reading is generally one of the lesser methods for studying unless you have some time to kill while travelling. I've found that the best methods for exams are most definitely doing exam questions. Cambridge Checkpoints are great for this ( it'd be a good investment for Year 12), but otherwise, doing your school's past exams should suffice. Remember that schools tend to reuse the same type of questions, and just make small adjustments.
