Thanks  ;)

BTW Jamon, they actually do have an equivalent of maths extension 2 in Victoria. I had a chat with some students in Victoria and they told me they actually do have an equivalent of extension 2 maths

http://www.uac.edu.au/documents/undergraduate/interstate/VIC_subject_comparison.pdf

I don't believe they do "harder extension 1 maths"

Hmm, I'd personally say that is debatable. Specialist is (in my opinion) much closer in difficulty to Extension 1 than Extension 2  :) but then I've never given massive attention to Specialist Papers, so I could be mistaken, but going on my own mild knowledge and discussions with others  :)

Oh well...Anyways, I'm kinda glad that this thread is starting to become a bit more active again.

I had a look at their exams. Whilst the content overlap is much more with that of Ext 2, difficulty wise it appears only around that of Ext 1.

Why what's the difference?

Chat is definitely going to boost your chat count for the free essay marking service you're thoroughly interested in, but excessive chat doesn't feel like it means much.

Easier to procrastinate (both for HSC students, and me  ;))

thank you!!  :D

one of the best ways i've found to just purely memorise content is through doing worksheets homemade from my summaries (especially for SOR2 where there's quite a few dates and terms to memorise), also doing past papers can help to solidify content by actually applying it to questions....  :)

(Jake might be able to jump in here since he introduced the worksheet idea to me but also this forum Top Tip for Memorising Statistics (and all the World War I Stats You'll Need!) has more info)

thanks elyse! yes much legislation, much media to remember haha

Definitely have a look at making some fact sheets or posters for the itty bitty details. So for legal, this would be the legislation. For modern, this would be the key dates and historian quotes, for example. I'm a bit fan of making nice notes. Like, coloured textas, laminated paper, the lot. Then I'd stick them around the house. In my room, at the breakfast table, in the shower, the back of the bathroom door, etc. Walk around saying the important details out loud as well! They really begin to stick when you say them out loud.

If you have a class mate (or willing family member), you should give them a mini tutorial on certain aspects of the syllabus. With a class mate, you can take turns. Try cut it down to say, explain the entire syllabus dot point in under 10 minutes. Or, talk about it for at least 7 minutes and if you can't make 7 minutes then you know you don't know enough - something like that! Explaining what you know to someone else is the best way to learn it yourself, and it also highlights the gaps in your own knowledge so that you know where to go back to :)

What do you mean by this?

Also I was told by another mod that in order to make it count to the free essay marking service, I'll need to make legitimate posts, not those posts like "hi" or "thanks" or literally any spam related posts as they will know I am doing that for the purpose of free essay marking and they don't like that (according to some VCE moderator)

That's true, posting completely pointlessly won't rack up your count, and we'll always delete posts like that that don't mean anything at all  :)

Swag, you are officially eligible for 125 essays marked!! You can use them all, or trade 100 of those credits to have me come and do your exam dressed as Dj Khaled...

Kidding, but how great would that be  ;)

Oh my God, AN, why do you have to be so savage? Like seriously, why you gotta force us to contribute to this amazing community of high achieving students and interact with other like-minded students (the horror!) and make us access the pool of stellar resources that are freely available on this site through their Notes section and through the minds of the insanely intelligent people that loiter around here answering our questions and enable us to ace Year 12 just so that we can get our essays marked?

Aha the benefits of a Science degree. Technically though, can I post my Law essays for marking? Would really appreciate that Jamon, thanks!
