What was everyones marks for paper 1?

I got 13/15 in both the Creative and the essay (thanks elyse and jamon :P) but only 9/15 in short answers (dont ask)
Overall, happy with the 2 A's in the harder section, just fell flat on my face for the short answers.

What do you think happened in the short answers? Did you do them first or last or?

Well i followed the advice of many and ran the paper back to front, you know the constant themes.. The only text I got full marks for was Text 2 (2/2) Got 0/2 for Text 1 (oops) and 2/3 for Text 3 and 4. 3/5 using Texts 2 and 4 (should i have done these texts??)
I failed to address the question apparently, but I am not sure how because I thought I did? Maybe a run down of this would be beneficial :)

Ps. Is it true you get 1 mark in a creative short story just for having a title?

Don't quote me, but I doubt it. It would probably still count as a non-attempt :P

Ahh! I always read the texts in the reading time and moved straight through to them for the first part of the exam. Would you consider that next time?

Ps. Is it true you get 1 mark in a creative short story just for having a title?

Nope! It would be an unequal way of gaining marks if you choose not to do a short story, and rather a speech. There is no requirement for a title.

Thats what I did during my Paper 1, read them in reading time and then moved straight onto them.

Good to hear that as well! Because i heard that and i was like nah that cant possibly be right!

Thanks!

Thanks for the compliments!!
I dont have any magic trick to the unseen texts, but my teacher (who has like 25 years experience) has just drilled into my head its all about the HOW......so techniques, techniques, techniques!!!! During the reading time i quickly read over the unseen texts just to get a feel for them.
I always look at the question before looking at a new unseen text just so i know what i am looking for. During the actual exam, i just circle every technique i come across as i skim through the short story/poem/song/whatever. From there its quite simple, each sentence (2 markers) or second sentence (3 markers) should have a new technique in it, and somehow link it back to the question!!!  :D :D ........well thats roughly what i do anyway

Oh, i also do the paper in order for the record.
