Hi markyperez,
I'm sorry to hear you're having a difficult time adapting to your working conditions at home. I can empathise to a degree -- but instead of being surrounded by baby chickens, I am entangled in vines and grapes. It is a very difficult situation to be in and oftentimes neglected as a trivial or 'joke' issue (it really isn't, shame on the people that say so).
To give you some tangible advice, I'd recommend that you use learning techniques and memory devices to your advantage. Using strategies such as narrative chaining, it may be possible to build a story around the chickens (with which you are closest of friends with) and convert that to definitions or ideas within your subjects. For example, I named each of the 78,261 vines in my property after a distinct German word to memorise my detailed study. When it came to my exam, I could simply trace my mind back to me working outside.
In a similar vein, I attributed quotes from Stasiland, Mabo, and Every Man In This Village is a Liar to each of the 17,475,513,392,278,901 grapes on these vines. For example, you could use this method when you're in an exam situation, and need to recall the definition of osmosis.
Hope these brief tips help you out. Have a nice day!
