Can I still play video games?

Hey all,
Obviously the terrific term 3 holidays are upon us, and I have a general question about video games..

My current schedule has me studying about 7-9 hours a day (depending on the day and if I'm training e.t.c)

Now, I start studying at 9am  and finish at about 7pm (with short breaks, dinner/lunch in between). My question is, Is video games okay? will they be detrimental to my success in VCE in anyway? Is there any psychological limitations in playing video games whilst studying (i.e a game such as league of legends? :D)
I've found that for example, when I use this free time to watch tv shows e.t.c I still have some information of what I learned/ did during the day going through my mind (i.e. I'm still sort of learning when watching the TV shows).
However, when I play league of legends I'm completely disconnected for several hours, Is this okay? I just feel very guilty playing, even though I study the whole fucking day.

Also, is the amount I'm studying okay during this time in the year? I plan to pick it up about 3 weeks out of exams.

Thank you guys, any advice/information would be greatly appreciated.

Studying for 7-9 hours a day is heaps for most people!! Only you know whether it's enough for yourself, but it's about how much I did in the month before exams ;D

I don't think you should be feeling guilty about doing something you enjoy after a hard days work: If anything, proper rest and disconnection from the content is important to keep you recharged. If it's always in the back of your mind, it will get dry really quick. Personally, I'd say absolutely go for it, you definitely earn the time! ;D

Hi 100
In my opinion I think it's OK if you play video games while studying for the VCE. This is because you need time to relax and get out the world of academia. Having no breaks can mean you will risk burning out and be too tired to sit those final exams. Also when playing the video games try to forget about your studies and really make the most out of the time you are not studying.
Good luck for the VCE! Enjoy its challenges and rewards.

Hi 100! No problem, happy to help, also if it is any further reassurance, I played solid amounts of Fallout 4 after big days of study for my most recent uni exams ;)

Thanks heaps! I'm keen for this series  8)
