Best Uni For Data science/Business Analytics?

Im interested in getting into either Data Science (offered under the IT school) or Business Analytics (Offered under the business school)
Disregarding Melbourne, how is Swinburne, Monash, RMIT and Deakin rated comparatively under each school. As far as im aware, Monash is highly regarded in Business. However it does not offer a Business Analytics course in Australia. As such, what would be the next best uni to attend?

And like wise for Data Science. Im not sure as to what is considered widely the best uni for IT degrees (im coming from RMIT Engineering).

Are you transferring or looking to do postgraduate (assuming you've completed the RMIT Engineering degree?).

Data science is a relatively new discipline altogether - so I don't think many unis have developed themselves yet in this area. I know La Trobe recently introduced a data science masters, and i'm fairly sure Monash has a well established Graduate diploma / masters program already.

Can't really comment on the others. To tell you the truth, if you asked me generally what is the best for IT: i'd say RMIT or Monash.

Obviously only commenting on the IT side of things since I have knowledge of this area... Business Analytics, not so much

The slightly concerning thing about Monash is that when i looked into the specialisation and the related subjects to be taken, many of them were not offered in 2016. How is this to change if I was to enrol being it is such a new course?

This is probably something you'd have to discuss with Monash. There's a representative from Monash who responds to this thread (Ask Monash University ) if you want to ask specific q's there. Usually demand is a result of subjects not being offered, which could change for next year.

Sorry I can't really be of more help - you can understand that I don't want to tell you the wrong thing (best to contact the unis directly to get the most accurate response).
