(just to clarify, I'm not saying im right pls correct if wrong ty)

For 36e, would you not have to add four weeks pay on top of the holiday loading?

28eii. are you sure that's right? I got (10x15x3)-(pi x 2.5^2 x 3) x 12 = 193cm^3 - correct me if im wrong thanks !!

30bii. for this question, shouldnt it be [3072 x 1024 x 1024]/8 --> then with that you divide by 1000 x 1000 to get it to mb instead of MB, and then also shouldn't you divide what you get from that by /7 and then by /60 to get it to minutes? so the answer should be like 1mbps i think

are these wrong or right, im pretty sure they're right tho

i did somethign similar for the cake one

15x10x6-6xPiex2.5^2x6 = 193

Re 36e), I genuinely don't know, I've never done a question like that before in maths so if that's the standard thing you do in General Maths then maybe you're right! If we get some consensus, I'll reassess the question.

For 28e ii, you're definitely right, and that's being changed as we speak.

For your last remark, I used google to get my answer. I used it to convert from MB to Mbits or whatever, so I sort of trust what it told me. However, again, if a couple people agree, I'll look at it again.

Hey! 21 definitely may be D, I have no idea how to do those kinds of questions. As for 23, I think that's debatable; I understood the question to be a smoker OR male, not male AND a smoker. So, you take the probability of being a male non-smoker and a female-smoker. Really not sure what they intended with that question, but I went with a strict reading of OR.
i think i know what u mean.....i just thought that the probability of being a smoker OR male meant prob of being smoker (male and female=156) PLUS the prob of being male (264). :) :)

For sure, and I don't think we'll know what BOSTES was going for until they release solutions. Ah well, let's hope you're right

QUICK NOTE: I did 4U maths, so I thought I would be fine answering the General Paper. Looks like I may have been wrong.... great job to everyone on here for getting through what appears to be a difficult course! If you have any further corrections, hit 'reply' and let me know what you think!

OH MY WOWS. That exam.
Overall I think I did okay, but the damn cake question!! Could not workthat out for the life of me!! And the 5 marker about the playground! Wow!

Then you go to questions - 2 coins a flipped whats the chance that one is heads one is tails and I am just like **facepalm** this could be done by a primary kid.

A very inconsistent exam, in my opinion.

Well some people may have been confused as to whether or not you do 1/2 ( as it would've been too obvious for a hsc question) I know people (including myself) that did 1/2 x 1/2 = 1/4, which may have thrown people off so it just depends on how one interrupts under the pressure of exam conditions. Yes it may have been easy but no need to put people down by saying "it could be done by a primary kid". I don't want to start anything but just understand that people may have been thrown off a bit due to stress ( like myself)

Oh another thing,

for 29eii, im pretty sure you actually have to find the gradient; (y2-y1/x2-x1) so like {(1900,60) (1980,80)} - (80-60/1980-1900) = 0.25

and then i commented "the gradient increases at a linear rate of 0.25, meaning that life expectancy increases by 3 months every year." (3 months because 0.25 x 12)

I think that's right, idk correct me if im wrong

That definitely looks perfect! I didn't think you needed to find the gradient, but that doesn't matter; you definitely got full marks :)

alright fuck me one more haha sorry,

for 29c, it should be (i think, AGAINNN correct me if im wrong) something along the lines [for 3 marks]

"Pat's claims are correct, the women have a higher median of 55 (i think i dont remember the number soz ceebs doing again) as opposed to the 45 of the males, illustrating that there are more women likely to be older in the class than the males. The men's data is also being positively skewed, moving their mean up, as opposed to the negative skew on the women, having their data dragged down by the younger people. The skewness represents the older age of the women, and the younger age of the men, having most of them being central to the lower aged median."

thats kinda what i wrote

Hey guys! I realised I got a couple questions wrong. Do you know if its a 3 mark question and we put in the wrong value but work it out correctly and get the wrong answer how many marks we get? Is it a automatic 0 or do you get 1 or 2/3 ?? Im really worried
