Graphs and relations question 5

Can someone please explain question 5 in graphs and relations ? How do we know that it is C but not B ? Personally, I chose E because apparently the diagrams are not drawn to scale and the two lines were meant to be parallel. Any explanation would be appreciated.

the lines were not parallel, so that eliminated E. if you use the sliding method rule, point C would be the maximum
