Significant figures in VCAA 2015 Exam

Hi Guys,

I just completed the 2015 Chem exam and had some different significant figures from the solutions.

Q4b - I had my answer to 1 SF from the 0.2, whereas they had 2
Q8b - I had 1 SF from 0.01M, whereas they had 2
Q10c - I had 3 SF whilst they had 2

Could someone please skim through and tell me what I missed when doing my calculations?

Thanks.

The amount of significant figures in your final answer depends on the quantities given in the questions. The general rule of thumb is that your final answer's significant figure should be the same the the lowest number of significant figures given in the question.

In between calculations, have a few more to prevent rounding errors at the final answer.
