How many marks can i lose in the exam in order to get a 45+? I'm currently rank 1 in my class.

I don't usually aim this high, but since IT scales down substantially, I need this kind of study score to get my goal atar.

I did IT Applications (what is now informatics) last year and ended up with 44 from 75/90 on the exam.
So if you get around 77+ I think you should net a 45.
2015 - 2016: IT Applications [44] | Religion & Society [40] | English Language [37] | Maths Methods [42]  | Physics [42]  | Chemistry [45] | Specialist Maths [41]
ATAR: 99.10
2017 - 2020: BSci Adv Research (Applied & Pure Mathematics) (Honours) @ Monash

What are your SACS like? This honestly depends so much on the strength of your cohort, SACs and exam score.

I got A+'s for both unit 3 and unit 4 and an A in the exam and only ended up with a 40 on the dot. This was in 2012 so i'm not sure what the graded distribution for GA 3 classifies as an 'A'. I was rank 1 as well and scored on avg around 90%ish for both units.

Keep in mind this was a really weak cohort where the separation between ranks 1 and 2 was about 20% on average too.
