Anyone reckon they'd accept Volumetric analysis for another method of determining copper II concentration? Because you can do it with iodometric analysis of copper in brass content, but i guess it's beyond the scope of VCE?

None of the other options work. If the acid was the limiting reactant, using a a diprotic acid would produce twofold more gas and therefore the mass would decrease. The rate would be faster too as there's a higher concentration of hydrogen ions

Do you think they woukd have a problem with lipids (triglycerides). I put the more specific answer in brackets. I was told not to write two answers but I did it anyway?

So was it a hard or easy exam for everyone? Harder than last years?

I'd say it was easy except for one or two questions which were pretty tricky. All I can say is pls dear VCAA give me consequential marks for one question 🙏🏻

I felt like it was fairly moderate in terms of difficulty, similar to last year's exam.

So far I hope to only lose 1-2 marks at most

Wow - not a lot of things to like about that exam. Also - if anyone wrote C for question 1 (multiple choice, ofc), that's actually correct! Although it looks like VCAA wanted you to put A, there's still a chance that they choose to accept C, too.

Also, can anyone explain why they the Addition* reaction of Chlorine to the Alkene was an Addition* reaction AS WELL AS a redox reaction? I thought that the UV light would split the Chlorine gas and that it would become a free radical, thus interrupting the C=C double bond and hence joining the alkene. In my understanding, I don't think that there is donation+accepting of electrons occurs with this reaction.

If anything, I thought that it'd be a covalent bond between the Cl and C

Would anybody be able to back me up or give a conclusive argument against this?

Edited: I meant addition, not substitution, my bad
