Are derived scores accurate

 Hey Guys!
So due to unfortunate circumstances, I was significantly ill during and before my 2016 VCE Exams.
I still did all of my exams besides the Methods Exam 2, as I was in hospital at the time.
I have applied for a derived result and was curious on how some of you guys who were perhaps in the same position
felt about the score you had been granted. Is it an accurate reflection of how you thought you were going to score?
I know this is pretty vague but any feedback is extremely appreciated, just concerned that all my hard work has gone to waste.
Thanks.  :)

Sorry to hear you've been sick :(

I had a couple of derived scores and felt they were reasonable. They both seemed as though they were on the money, though trying to predict study scores is pretty fraught, so maybe I was just happy with them because I got more than I expected :p

yeah derived scores are pretty accurate if you tried your best on the gat. in general from my anecdotal experience they seem to give a study score or 2 higher than what people expected. this is partially because of the bell curve on the gat as alot of kids statewide completely fuck around on that thing so the raw mark required to get 50% percentile on the gat is lower than it should be LOL
so i wouldnt worry if i were you :)
