Hi all,
I received a 47 in English Language in 2016 from Mac.Rob, and am offering individual weekly English Language 3/4 tuition in 2017 for $30/hour at the State Library of Victoria, with lessons tailored towards you and your areas of improvement.
English Language can be quite a directionless subject at times, with students expected to be keeping up to date on linguistic phenomena throughout the entire year in order to fulfil Study Design requirements and to be able to maximise their marks in the final exam. What I aim to do is to provide a highly contemporary and enjoyable focus on English Language, so that you are able to stand out and achieve your best in what can often be a hectic year.
What is included:
As a result of this strong emphasis on contemporary Australian language, we will be working through topics in the 2016-2020 Study Design with highly relevant examples from 2016 and (most importantly) 2017 as the year progresses, drawing from a variety of sources including contemporary political and linguistic debate, with detailed notes and additional resources provided to supplement your learning.
We will also be going through exam and SAC technique throughout the year, so that you know what is needed to gain marks in these assessments, and how to approach each component of the final English Language exam well before November begins, fine-tuning your responses to meet examination criteria and allowing you to reach your full potential.
Weekly essay/analytical commentary marking is also included so you are able to gain additional feedback, hone your grasp of metalanguage (and extend yourself), and gain experience with commonly examined themes and concepts well before the exam. Additional assistance outside of weekly tuition will also be available through email and other modes of communication.
