Moving into Unit 2 Economics...

I'm currently doing Unit 1 in English, Literature, History, Politics, General Math & Environmental Science.
I am thinking about dropping Literature, as it's extremely boring and I'm not doing too well for the amount of effort I put in. I was thinking about moving into Economics for Unit 2 and dropping Literature, however I didn't do the year 10 pathway but the subject will help with Politics (according to my teacher). I was just wondering if this is a good decision, and whether it is an easy subject to pick up straight off the bat without doing Unit 1?

Unit 1 didn't have that much content - you'll be fine. It mainly covers the first chapter and as long as you familiarise yourself with the basic fundamnetal concepts (different types of economics, resources, basic problem etc.) and especially the models (PPD, two-sector circular flow), it shouldn't be too difficult.
