that is bad. did you have a lot of accomplishments? either way, if they took you in based only on the former, then I guess they're missing out.
Fortunately, my resume was pretty good and I have a lot of accomplishments. But a good chunk of the interview was me talking about my personality, qualities and aspiration for the future. I talked about the career I wanted to pursue in the future (chemical engineering) and gave examples of more efficient, effective invention ideas. The lady was just sitting there, looking at me, nodding at some parts - she didn't really take any notes. The only time she took notes was when she looked through my portfolio.
Ugh, I'm not sure if this is how they normally run interviews, but I find this pretty disrespectful. You have a student that has this passion for science and technology, and has aspirations in solving several of society and the environment's issues. Yet you just stare blankly at them, not bothering to write any notes or add any comments.
JMSS is an awesome school - it's an awesome community. I've respected this school for a long time. I'm just extremely deflated about how I was treated during the interviews. It's understandable how interviewing a bunch of students gets really exhausting, but at least try to give a fair opportunity all the applicants.
