A hot dog in bread is a hot dog, a sausage in bread is a sausage, and a sandwich is a sandwich. They're entirely different things.
Also, generally a sandwich might have something that resembles healthy food (such as lettuce, carrot, beetroot, or cucumber, etc.) within it, whereas a hot dog is just a cheap way to clog your arteries

A hot dog in bread is a hot dog, a sausage in bread is a sausage

But like, what's the difference between a hot dog and a sausage?
