Picking up 3/4 Physics without 1/2?

Hey there,

I'm currently doing these subjects in year 11:
1/2 Specialist Maths
1/2 Maths Methods
1/2 Literature
1/2 English
3/4 Revolutions
Cert III Applied Language (Mandarin)

but I absolutely HATE English. I would really like to drop it in order to pick up Physics, but I can't until next year because it clashes with Methods. However, my concern is that I would be sacrificing a potentially higher study score in English - I'm a rather strong English student as it comes quite naturally to me, however my science skills (especially lab reports) would need some work before going into 3/4 Physics. I know it's early in the year, but if I were to choose to pick up the 3/4 for next year I'd like to start learning the content for 1/2 NOW so that I'm not completely out of my depth next year.

I also wanted to do an Extension Study in Philosophy next year, however if I picked up Physics as well it would be unlikely that I would be able to cope (I am legitimately struggling with my workload now, mainly due to mental illness). If I were to do Physics I would not do Philosophy, or vice versa.

Has anybody had a similar situation?
Is it doable to pick up 3/4 Physics without 1/2? How difficult is it to manage, and would it still be possible to get a 40+ study score?

Thank you!
