Can anyone please list out some tips for practicing cartoon analysis for my upcoming English midyear exams?
Where to find more practice questions and resources for cartoon analysis ? Any kind of help will be really appreciated!

I'd say to just look through newspapers you can find online for cartoons. Cartoon analysis is just about picking an image or cartoon and analysing it. I would recommend writing a few and asking your teacher to correct it.

you can analyse literally any cartoon in a newspaper tbh (maybe not the comic strips though). there are a couple in vcaa past exams for english as well if you want to see ones that have come up in exams, but really there's not much difference between those and actual published ones, except that they were made solely for exams (i'm 99% sure vcaa create their analysis content from scratch just to be sure nobody's seen it prior to their exam). there's definitely an illustration in the 2016 exam! but otherwise, any cartoon will realistically be just as good but will have exponentially less giant watermelons than vcaa content :(

I agree with what's been said so far. Have a look through local newspapers or media websites - you can pretty much pick out and analyse any cartoon in there.

As for tips when actually analysing cartoons - you should look for things like:
- elements of visuals i.e. line, tone, shape, texture.... (e.g. smooth lines vs jagged lines - what is the effect?)
- what is being accentuated and emphasised (this is what the illustrator wants you to notice)
- if there are people in the cartoon, look at their facial expressions, body language, gestures (would you say the positioning of their body is natural or unnatural-looking and WHY?)
- words (might be in speech bubbles or just in the background - either way, words in cartoons are super important also)
