How to prepare for chemistry for my situation.

I am currently in year 10.
My background is that I've always been very shaky in chemistry and that I just made this account about 40 minutes ago to ask some questions.
Ever since year 7 I guess you could say that I'm an average chemistry student but like if you were to ask me to teach you chemistry from the start, I wouldn't know where to begin because I don't have that type of basic knowledge,  I would like to ask is there any free resources to teach/catch up on chemistry from the beginning so I can prepare for Unit 1/2 and have a basic knowledge of chemistry because I feel really lost.
This is like how you need basic numbers and algebra to start do trigonometry.
I want to know how chemistry evolves into more advanced topics and how should I understand it because I'm really stressed that I will fail chemistry.

Honestly there's barely any prerequisite knowledge for VCE chemistry. All of the basic concepts you need for Unit 3/4 are taught in Unit 1/2. The most useful knowledge you can obtain before you start is being adept at balancing equations, which you learn in year 8 so it shouldn't be difficult, and being familiar with the ions, so you can form ionic compounds with ease. I do not recall anything else I learned in year 9 and 10 being remotely useful.
