Hey captkirk,
I know this is probably a bit late in terms of your discrete probability SAC but this applies to your next probability SAC and exams too

The biggest piece of proability advice I can give is to try and get clear on which type of probability you're going to need for each specific type of question. If you can learn to identify the process you need to use for any given question, you're 90% of the way there! Of course context of each question will change but in probability they can only ask you so many things in so many different ways. Once you learn to do this, you'll be able to tackle questions really effectively.
I wrote a post last year detailing how to identify and when to use each type of probability, feel free to check it out if you're still keen to get clear on it -
