Hi all,
I am in Year 11 and I am about to start the selection process for leadership positions. I'm looking for some tips and I thought a thread like this would be very useful for people who are also looking for some assistance.
I am a passionate leader and I would love to have a leadership position that would allow me to mentor younger students and utilise my skills. My school requires a letter application (no guidelines given) and a Resume, followed by an interview in the next stage.
I was hoping some people out there would have some recommendations of good things to include or say on the application or in the interview. Any general tips on how to be a successful captain or prefect would be greatly appreciated too!

Hey, welcome to these amazing forums.
Umm....School captain...a role most people want
The interview/letter/speech....the obstacles that no one wants to do....and would rather just magically become captain

Some general tips:
- Your application/interview should be convincing and confident...(duh)
- Don't promise things that are unrealistic...if u get elected u will be held accountable
- The things you express in your interview, you should start doing them around school before anything happens, e.g. to class on time, organisation, care
for other students/teachers. This will indicate you have responsibility and are serious about your application.
Fairly brief....but hope this helps...
good luck
