Hi Newbie16!

This depends on you. If you like Biomed and you see no complications in it, you should stay at RMIT. If you like Monash/ find it more convenient to get to/ need a change of scene, then by all means, try transferring!

If you do, don't forget to ask for credit transfer and don't always expect your transfer to be successful on the first try. Your WAM and/or GPA will also be a factor into this, so if you have a satisfactory one, you will be more likely to be offered the transfer.

Good luck in making your decision!

Hi,

I don't think you could go too wrong either way.

I would say if you enjoy the biomed degree at RMIT, to stick with it. RMIT is good for bio stuff and transferring unis can be a (sometimes necessary) hassle - I transferred from Monash to UNSW.

Monash is great for people who love science! And with a science degree you can get into med at Monash or UniMelb, say, after your first degree.

(I majored in physics and maths/stats)

BSc (Physics, Mathematics/Statistics) @UNSW (began at Monash - 1/2 from each uni)
