Hey,

I was just wondering if we should be giving our creative pieces titles within the exam?

hi!

no, titles aren't necessary - however, if you'd like to have a title, that's totally fine too!

best of luck for your hsc (tomorrow aaaahhhh),

A title isn't a definite way to gain or lose a mark - and I know there are rumours you can't achieve full marks without a title but it's all false. Emily (y'know, 100/100 in Advanced English, 1st in the state 2016, general Queen of life, etc) didn't use a title but got full marks.

A title can be a very thought-provoking way to add to the content of your story, however, if you think it can assist the understanding of your work! Especially in the form of adding to metaphors observed in the text, or a motif. The title might even give a clue about the final discovery.

I wrote a speech, and I didn't title my speech.

Good luck! :)
