Neatness of Graphing

Hi,

How good should hand drawn graphs in the HSC look? If it asked me to draw f(|x|), and one side was a bit wonky, would it be sufficient to write at the bottom that the graph is symmetric about the y-axis?

Thanks

Do your best to draw as neat as possible, as you don't want to give the markers any doubt that you know your stuff. Though, having said that, the markers will understand that your are under pressure, and thus won't expect a computer drawn graph. If it makes you feel certain, you can say at the bottom right hand different features you are trying to create to assert your understanding, such as that "it is symmetrical about the y-axis".

I came to the realisation of the answer to my own question, though I couldn't delete the post. So I decided to answer it myself.

You can click the modify section on the 1st post and insert your answer there.
No harm done. At least there is an answer to your question. :)

Tbh after he explained why he answered his own question I just left it there. I wouldn’t be so fussed about merging when you’re providing an answer, as opposed to multiple questions in a row.
