Question about Cash flow Statement

Under say Operating Activities, are we meant to write Inflows then the items and Outflows then the items.

Or do we just list them, then put the items that are outflows as negative, ie put them in brackets ()?

But isn't it sometimes there isn't enough room to write inflows and outflows?
