:( That felt much harder than the practice exams that I did at home and also where did g1 come from? they did not mention it ANYWHERE? that threw me off answering the last questions

I spent more then 10 minutes trying to find "g1" couldn't find it... glad I wasn't the only one who couldn't see where g1 came from

For g1 you had to sub 1 into k,
it was still the same function

Who used the theta from tan theta to work out the y co-ordinate of P1? For the Ferris wheel question....

Yep, sure did!

I thought that was fairly tough, relative to other VCAA papers. My (hopefully correct) solutions are below (file size too large to attach here).

Can anyone predict the A+ cutoff... I think the exam was relatively harder than all the previous exams... lost 8 marks I reckons... (couldn't do the last few questions cause I spent too much time on the Ferris wheel....)

Also my study score...

Exam 1: assuming 37/40
Exam 2: 64/80, 70/80, 72/80 (just incase I made any other stupid mistakes)

Oh the joys!! ;) ;) ;)

=> My Method for every practice exam I have ever completed; Start from the start and work my way through, always finishing, no problems.

So what did I do today I hear you ask? WELL MY FRIENDS, I started at Question 2 for Short answers, skipping the first because "It's easy calculations, I'll come back to it later". So I rode a ferris wheel for a while, then had to study for at least 20 minutes but no longer than 70, made it to question 4, had a great time there and finished that bad boy. I then proceeded to the MC and began those, being the jetson I am, with 5 minutes to go I was up to 19, finished 20, then exhaled as I was SO relieved.

In this sense of Euphoria, I turned the page, and my heart Dropped, no like it literally hit the floor. I had COMPLETELY FORGOT ABOUT THE FIRST QUESTION. I managed to salvage two marks before pens down.

There is a lesson to be learnt here; DO NOT FALTER from what you have always previously done. OR run the risk of being as dejected as I am right now ;)

My prediction for the A+ cutoff would be around 65/80

50.

MCQ was pretty easy had to skip 2, ended up getting one but forgot to shade in the bubble lmfao. Had to guess the Australian survey MCQ.

Exam went down hill from finding (u, v) on the Ferris wheel. Pretty sure my method was correct but my calc could not evaluate it.

Did it another way which gives me different values but it's 100% wrong since my v was less than 65.

Anyone know the 'correct' way?

I didn't finish though lol. I wrote stuff for most questions but didn't have time to go back and re-do the ones I know were wrong for certain.

Definitely harder than last year's exam 2.

I actually feel for you, because there is literally a probability of 1 I'm going to consolidate my life aspirations after exam 2 for spesh.

Hahaha nice one. I did something retarded too.

I skipped MCQ18 (sd = mean for binomial question), came back to it and did it. I circled the answer but forgot to shade in the bubble. The lady says pens down and I double check my MCQ and nothing was shaded, I freaked the fuck out and forgot what was the correct answer, so I shaded D when I knew it was E.

Since I didn't ace exam 2 like I said I was, I guess I needa compensate and get a 50 in spesh 🙄🙄🙄

I am just imagining the disappointment settle across the examiners face in my face. I would take 1 MC question over x amount of marks I lost from forgetting lmao.

To be honest, I wouldn't even be surprised at this rate if I got a higher SS for spesh, I am well and truly halfway there. Best of luck with the studies :)
