Multichoice seemed standard if not a bit easier than normal. But extended response felt like a massive challenge. It felt much harder than 2012 or 2013 exam 2, but I think that my vision is probably clouded by the stress of the exam. Hopefully the A+ cutoff is as low as those years, but it probably won’t be and I’m probably just overreacting because of the stress. Anyone else feel this way?

Can I still get 40 with these scores: :-\
SACS: Low A+, but strong cohort - gets scaled up quite a lot
Exam 1: High A? (~34/40)
Exam 2: Low A+ (~65-68/80)

I am just imagining the disappointment settle across the examiners face in my face. I would take 1 MC question over x amount of marks I lost from forgetting lmao.

To be honest, I wouldn't even be surprised at this rate if I got a higher SS for spesh, I am well and truly halfway there. Best of luck with the studies :)
That's true, good luck to you too brethren.

Yeah. This exam's ER felt like a combination of Qs from 2012/13 and 2016, but on steroids.

Regardless of difficulty, the A+ cut off won't change by much. Too many einsteins.

Well my school is full of Einsteins and even most of them found it very difficult. If it’s as hard as we think the A+ cutoff will be like low 60, like in 2012 and 2013, which I’d be happy with. But, if it turns out that the A+ cutoff is like mid to high 60 and it wasn’t as hard as I thought, then I’d be really annoyed.

Man I felt so bad for letting my cohort down tbh, until I checked AN.
Everything was okay until the ending of the ferris wheel one, and the absolute last question about the area.
So here are my scores (as of now I think) if any kind soul might want to predict my score (I'm in the top 5 in an average-decent cohort with 15-20 40+ scores every year):
SACs: mid to high A+ (scaled to a 100 internally)
E1: 37/40
E2: 65-73/80
2018-2020: Bachelor of Actuarial Science (+ Econometrics), Monash
2021: Bachelor of Commerce (Honours), Econometrics & Financial Mathematics, Monash
2022-2023: Work and some soul-searching

Mhm, Honestly I wasn't really a fan of this years, as opposed to the 2016 exam and even 2013 onwards; I found this years to be quite challenging. MC I agree was pretty stock standard, maybe the population sampling ones were a bit out there. Can 100% agree that SA were a hurdle, I think they might be trying to push methods back, as in; making it more difficult than it has been in recent years. Would be expecting a low cut off for A+ marks this year, and 2016's were already respectively low, hence why I believe they're testing the waters to try and find a happy median. Nonetheless the cohort will be separated this year. You are not overreacting, I feel the same.

I’m going to be a hypocrite and ask for some predictions. Can’t stop thinking about the exam.
What would I get if I get 38-40/40 exam 1 and 72-75/80 exam 2? I’m ranked reasonably well in an extremely competitive cohort. I hope I end up scoring this high but wouldn’t be surprised if I did much much worse. So I’m trying to be optimistic.

At this point that would probably get you a high 40s (45-48) HAHAHAHA
