I gotta say... I struggled with it. I don't know my mind was asleep or if the exam was actually quite hard, but I found myself unsure how to approach a handful of questions. Didn't arrive at a definitive answer for a few, but at-least displayed some method.

Oh well. Onto exam 2!

Exactly how I felt, exam didnt feel super hard but I was just thrown by it :(

Is a 25-30 still possible if I end up getting like 15/40 on this one? Generally do better on exam 2 so say 45/80? Ranked ~15/40 in an average cohort.

Not bad! The last question was a bit tricky though. Took me about five minutes to realise that it was just the area under the arc cosine graph not the volume rotated around it

last question asks for volume 0.o

It wasn't too hard, but I don't think I got a single answer right, all my marks would come from working/consequential :/

Not happy about the slope curve question because it was super vague on whether I was doing the right thing.

Yeah, the volume is essentially the area under the arc cosine graph times by pi because you square f(X) and it's just the integration of arc cosine. I thought at first it was asking for the volume rotated by the arc cosine graph and had a bit of a pickle.

I am totally in the same boat. I at least started every question but didn't get a final answer for most of them, even though I would say overall the exam was very fair and wasn't too hard. Hopefully we can pull it together on part 2!

They'll have to be lenient with our answers, so don't worry about it.

Did anyone else guess x=1.9 for the estimated value of x based on that slope curve sketch?
