I thought that the specialist exam was moderate difficulty and maybe a tiny bit harder than last year’s exam. Overall, I think I did ok, but not great on this exam. Anyone else felt that specialist exam was easier than the methods one?

Same here, although it felt like specialist was longer than methods

Yes it was easier than the methods exam I thought, but I thought it was really long, had to leave stuff blank and guess some MC :(

I’m guessing that those scores should get you around a 39-40. But probably wait for someone else cause I’m not an expert at this type of stuff.

Study score prediction please:
SACS 75% (high B+, gets scaled up by quite a lot - strong cohort)
Exam 1: 25/40 (high C+)  :'(
Exam 2: 62/80 (high B+?)

Hi, sorry to bother everyone, but could I get a study score prediction?
I'm Rank 1 for SACs, but got around a 35 or 36/40 for Exam 1 and around 76/80 for Exam 2
Thanks!

as long as i know , cutoffs for raw 45 and 50 for Specialist maths dont change much as the cohort is really strong and there will be always certain amount of students who get close to 120 or high 110s regardless of exam difficulty.
And for 2016 spec exam,
114/120 Last year was raw 45
113/120 Last year was raw 44
112//120 Last year was raw 43
hope this helps

It wasn't really that hard, I had some careless mistakes (really stupid ones), not many, but a fair number :o
Here are my scores (I had a look at it again)
E1: 38/40
E2: 71-73/80
Still hoping for a 40+ (?) Chances are, I might be real stupid and get lower than methods.
But whatevs HAHAHA it's over.
Good luck for the next few exams guys :)

Haha I feel the same. I was hoping for 43 after I got ~38/40 in exam 1 but I cooked this one so hard, so many silly errors. Time to pray for lower A+ cutoffs and a 40+.

IMO if you get 73/80 you'll probs get 42

Scrap that HAHAHA I checked more of my answers, and I'm pretty sure I got 71/80, so probably no A+ :(
