I thought the multiple choice was quite difficult compared to other years...  :'(

Also that broach question was hard imo

What do you guys think the cut off for A will be?

Well I tried to do the broach question in its entirety in like 5 minutes, so...very long.
I didnt find it too challenging, but because of the length, very stressful. Which speaking of, was anyone else pissed off by the graph they gave us? It showed an inverse sin graph as a straight line (or I made a huge mistake here). I get the graphs aren't to scale and all, but COME ON, this has nothing to do with that, why would the broach have a straight, goddamn edge?

Edit: I realise after graphing it just now that the arcsin function does infact resemble a straight line well, but not that well

drawing that graph on cas gives a straight edge for the domain given as well

I thought it was very long. My solutions are here. I haven't checked them yet.
Not 100% sure about my graph for 1b - they seem to be implying a domain, but not formally, so I'm not sure whether the horizontal asymptote should or shouldn't be included.
Also, very strange that they asked for approximate values for turning points and the points of inflection in the previous parts, but not in the graph...

Oh yep, definitely missed the last question for the broach. I multiplied by 8 isntead of 4 by accident and took 64 into the root

jazzycab, question 2b, i think the negative sign shouldn't be on the inside of the arcsin function but the outside (it being on the inside actually causes the inside to become positive and return positive y values because of the domain)

Yep, I wrote third quadrant, but actually worked out second quadrant. My domain is also incorrect, as the arccos component should be between -2 and -sqrt(2)
I've also realised that I found POI's for f(x), rather than |f(x)| in Q10, so that may be incorrect

I found it slightly harder than the exams I did in preparation, but that might just be because of exam conditions :/// It also felt sooo long. I had to guess a couple of mcq and leave around 5-7 marks worth of questions blank. sigghh

I thought that the specialist exam was moderate difficulty and maybe a tiny bit harder than last year’s exam. Overall, I think I did ok, but not great on this exam. Anyone else felt that specialist exam was easier than the methods one?
