I obviously didn’t do the Latin exam but how did you feel about it?

Overall it was a really good exam,  the unseen was challenging in the middle parts,  but not too bad elsewhere.  Sections A and B were beautiful!  Really easy and nice questions to answer,  just the scansion was hard but I suck on scansion anyway.  And yeah felt good with the two long answer questions, 8 mark one in particular which asked "What moral lessons does Virgil convey in this passage and why " or something like that.  The passage started from the depiction of Manlius and ended with Catiline in the Underworld,  Book 8.

What was everyone's thoughts?

I wasn't expecting a Latin exam discussion thread so this is a pleasant surprise. I thought the unseen was fairly difficult. When I saw it was Livy I thought it would be simple but there were some tricky parts. Didn't really like comprehension of literary techniques and I'm pretty sure I screwed the scansion, which is annoying as I usually find it easy. Themes questions were quite easy I thought but I didn't really have enough time to give a really good response. So yeah overall it wasn't great, but I guess we'll see how it goes

Yeah I ran out of time towards the end to,  on the 12 mark one.  I'm really hoping to get at least a 30 but not sure as not many people do Latin.

Haha latins a hard one to predict. While half the cohort does get 30+, it is an insanely strong cohort.
