Generally I found from around 2006 onwards all pretty relevant to the current study design as theory does not change much. There were a few odd questions relating to immateriality that you don't need to know (but is very good to know AND mention when it comes to discussion questions about product costing and period costing) but aside from that everything else should be directly relevant and attemptable. However note that there has been a gradual shift in the style of VCAA questions as they are no longer looking for rote learned answers (well maybe a little) but they aremore looking towards analysing situations and data. BUt make sure you know common theory questions eg:
- Why use reducing balance over straight like or vice versa
- Why are bad debts written off
And so on but you get the gist. Before 2006 most of the questions are not very useful. But still just skim through them for either performance eval questions or theory ones ( you'll know intuitively which ones). Hope this helps but maybe i waffled a bit lmao

Thanks, do you know if the practical questions are relevant from 2002-2012?

Yes I would again say they are relevant till about 06, however before that, the recording methods are a different, so probably avoid them.

Thanks for the help
Do you know the difference between overstated and understated by any chance?

Oh boy do I. Understated means it is like lower than it should actually be. Overstated would be like the account balance is higher than it should be.

Like if i didn't record an expense for wages, say $200. Then capital would be overstated by 200, and bank would be overstated by 200.

If i had 300 of wages but accidentally recorded it as 400. Then capital would be understated by 100 and bank understated by 100

There would be around 50 practice exams for the current design from 2012-2018 including company papers out there. Therefore, there is little reason to do VCAA papers prior anyways.

Yeah but the current study design covers the entire year whereas for 2012 and earlier years it only covered unit 3 so it's more specific than the whole year's exam. When you do a whole year's exam, is there a way of knowing which part of the exam assess unit 3 and which parts assess unit 4?
Thanks
