FREE ENG HELP + TUTORING BIO [50] HHD [47] ENG [45]

Hi there! I recently graduated from high school and I’m keen to tutor a few subjects in 2018.

The subjects I hope to tutor for include:

Biology [study score 50]
For biology I will provide my own notes which were collated from my own SAC revision. Throughout the year for bio I collated definitions with specific words that were required to gain full marks in school SACs which I transferred to my exam. I can provide PowerPoints, questions and quizzes every week to prepare you for the final exam. I’m happy to help break down every dot point of the study design until you know it inside out!

Health and Human Development [study score 47]
On the surface HHD seems very content heavy. However, all the definitions that you are required to memorise for the exam are doable and there are acronyms for almost every second dot point of the study design. I am aware HHD will have a new study design in 2018 and I will definitely make changes to my notes to include what is new and get rid of what is no longer needed. As your tutor for HHD my aim is to teach you the content but more importantly how to answer questions, particularly questions that will be 4-6 marks. Because the content is “easy”, what differentiates students is the quality of their answers.

English [study score 45].
TEXTS: Medea, Burial Rites, Ransom/Invictus, Argument analysis
My cohort was the first to do the new study design and the newly introduced section B (comparative). Because it was new I experimented with different essay structures until I found one that worked for me. There was also changes to language analysis which is now known as argument analysis. Personally, I found analysing the construction of argument difficult throughout the year but with a lot of practice, advice and feed back I found a technique that worked well.

I can also provide guidance for psychology, furthermore, if you are interested in multiple subjects I’m happy to do 2 hour lessons :) I am able to tutor at the State Library but message me if you have specific location requests!

You are welcome to message me about any of the subjects/VCE in general. I am happy to help even if you aren't interested in tutoring!

Also offering FREE english help to disadvantaged students. Throughout year 12 I struggled with English due to an incompetent teacher so I completely understand how you must be feeling if you also have a bad teacher/go to a disadvantaged school. I kept jumping from tutor to tutor when all I really needed was someone who had completed VCE English to provide guidance, read a few essays and give feed back. I know some of us can't afford tutoring and notes etc so if you are in this position message me and I'll be more than happy to help you! Help will only be online based and I'll probably read your essays and give personal feed back but you can ask me anything whenever :) I might not have done your texts but I can help with orals + argument analysis. Unfortunately due to time restraints this will only be offered to students who are somewhat facing disadvantage e.g. financial difficulties, under represented school.
