Please help with a methods question

For the second-last and last one, how did they go from 7/4 to -7/4?

For the second-last and last one, how did they go from 7/4 to -7/4?

If you mean -7/2, the -2 outside the brackets was multiplied with both the (x-3/2)^2 and 7/4.
This makes the 7/4 ---> 7/2 (after multiplication with 2). Then 7/2 ---> -7/2 (after multiplication with a negative number)
