Question 1:
Religious traditions contributes to an individual’s search for meaning because Religion is a human response to the sense that there is something beyond the ordinary and that this sense gives meaning and purpose to life, it follows that we have to have some organised way of responding to and explaining the sense of Mystery, The Holy, The Sacred, The Transcendent, The Ultimate Reality, Structures and Institutions, Sacred Sites and Times, and Sacred Symbols and Figures.
It is a structure that has the ability to manage an individual’s actions and way of life.

“Religious structures can offer a vehicle through which people can discover a meaning in their live” - Don Mackay. This points out that different Religious structures can guide fulfilment to a destination to God and can help assist direction for satisfaction of life for an individual’s reachable goal of something and somewhere.

Religion has made significant contributions to the life of individuals in areas such as the personal search of meaning, ethical guidance, sense of belonging and ritual meaning.

For an example of a religious tradition is Buddhism because it contributes to an individual’s search for meaning. Buddhism can contribute to the search of meaning through Ethics because it reflects religiously on the moral beliefs within the tradition. The purpose of Ethical guidance in Buddhism is to discover what is right and wrong. It also points out what the adherent should follow and some to be avoided from doing so, to have appropriate behavioural guidance. Religious tradition Buddhism contributes to an individual’s search for meaning because it teaches the values, which helps individual’s investigate the meaning of life.

Another example of a religious tradition is Christianity, it contributes to an individual’s search for meaning in life because it involves with the Christian bible, which inside includes the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John; Acts of the Apostles; Paul’s Letters; other Letters; and Apocalypse or Revelation. In Christianity the word ‘gospel’ means ‘good news’. It was a term used by the early Christians to describe what Jesus had achieved.

This contributes to the search of meaning of life because The Bible offers Christians support and guidance, including guidelines for moral behaviour. Which can show individuals the pathways and the transport to discover the meaning of life.
