Sounds like more than I wrote ;) if you have said everything you want to say I'd say that sounds good to me! Remember those limits are purely to stop people going totally overboard :)
I'm just a bit concerned in repeating myself since I have mentioned about how I value work experience and I was planning to mention that in the last question (Why should you be selected as a UNSW Co-op Program Scholar? Describe the personal qualities and values that differentiate you and that you would bring to the UNSW Co-op Program). Would it be alright if there were some overlaps with the two responses?

I'd say so! Again, like, it's not like they are marking this application. They want a vibe of who you are and what you are about, to see if you are the sort of candidate they are interested in. Besides making sure you've said what you want to say in a clear way, try not to overthink it. There aren't great applications, there are great applicants :)

Hey guys,
I'm kinda struggling how to approach the last question: Why should you be selected as a UNSW Co-op Program Scholar? Describe the personal qualities and values that differentiate you and that you would bring to the UNSW Co-op Program.

Is it more like why I want the scholarship?

It is why they should pick you! It’s essentially a conclusion to an essay, “In summary, this is why you should pick me.” Pick the best bits and summarise them in a powerful way

That's the part I'm struggling: I have no clue why they should pick me :/

You mean in everything you have written for the other questions, everything I wrote in that reference for you for the other thing, and everything you've accomplished, you can't think of a single thing? ;D

I don't know, I'm not sure what to write. Is it supposed to be the kind of qualities and skills that I have? If that's the case, I'm not entirely sure how it's relevant to me being suitable for the scholarship. Or is it more like: why am I suitable for this scholarship?

Idk, I'm really stumped on how to answer this question ;-;

I think you are over-thinking it! Like, the two things you just said are essentially the same thing. You are suitable for the scholarship because you have X quality and Y skill :)

Think of it this way. Person from Coop Office comes up, greets you, and says, "So why should I pick you instead of someone else?" They never would of course, but imagine it. Whatever your gut instinct answer to that question is, just write that :)

Wait, so is it something along the lines of: I have excellent leadership qualities as demonstrated in my experiences in _____. As a result, the Co-op scholarship is suitable for me because _____.

Also, I missed out on the Co-op lecture today at Open Day. Was there anything that was really important in that lecture or is it like how to apply and generic tips for the responses?

I'm also applying for other UNSW scholarships and I've noticed there are some overlaps between the Co-op questions and the general questions. Is it alright if I were to use my Co-op responses for these general questions?

No clue what is in that! I never went and I was okay, so I'm guessing you'd be okay too! ;D

Hi Jamon,

Really struggling with my Co-Op application. I can't seem to get the words out. I don't know what I should be talking about to make my application attractive. Could you proofread this answer for me? And also, is it okay that I am talking about an unrelated activity (dance) for "Describe an achievement in the workplace and/or designing, building, programming or creating something. Your example might relate to recent work experience, a part time job or a major non-school based project you have undertaken. You might choose to highlight your creativity; the ability to see alternatives; come up with many varied or original ideas; or willingness to try/learn new things."
Dance is an activity that I have been committed to for the past 6 years so I thought it is the best to talk about in this question. Will the interviewers look on this favourably?

HERE IS MY ANSWER

For the past six years, I have been an active performer both in school based cultural events along with participating in external events. I have delving into my artistic passion for dancing. From a young age, due to have limited access to external dance training, I have been learning dance online through tutorials, and have self-choreographed routines to songs of my own liking. My passion in all forms of dance is shown through teaching myself hip hop and Indian cultural dance online, and performing my routines in front of large audiences. Key examples include my work in my solo cultural dance performance in 2018, where I had, using the influence of traditional artists, single handed devised my own choreography and performed in front of 700 students in my school’s annual Multicultural day talent show. In 2015, I had challenged myself by working with other students in creating a dance routine to appeal to the public. I had choreographed and taught other students participating came up with costume ideas and formations and experimented by fusing multiple dance styles together to cater to individual talents.

my trial marks (and overall) weren't what i wanted, and i dont think they're that good (75 - 80%). Is it still worth it to try to get into the scholarship knowing that there are people who have gotten in the high 90s who are also applying for this?

also, whats the difference between the yr12 yearly and trials?

Hey there,
I still think it's worth applying for! Remember, your Trial marks will be moderated so getting a 75-80% in Trials isn't gonna determine your HSC mark (pretty sure the way NESA moderates our marks is internal mark + external mark aka raw HSC mark/2 = moderated HSC mark), so lose hope!

And personally, my internal marks are a pass but not like 90% level because also depends on how hard your school makes assessments (which is why your ranks matter!)

Hope this helps :)

Once you get to interview, academics mean nothing. It’s all about your personal qualities and how you answer questions!

You do need to meet the ATAR cutoff, of course, but the great thing about Coop is that it is about so much more than academics
