Just need some help with the question, it got me stuck:
Integrate (0 to pi/4) [1 + tansquaredX] dx

$\text{We know from Year 11 that }\boxed{1+\tan^2 x = \sec^2 x}$
$\text{Therefore }\int_0^{\pi/4} (1+\tan^2x)\,dx = \int_0^{\pi/4}\sec^2x \,dx = \left[ \tan x\right]_0^{\pi/4} = 1$
