Hey guys,
I know that there’s a review for this subject on the thread, but was wondering if someone had done it more recently than 2014 and could answer a few questions?

I saw that lectures were recorded without screen capture, and only released after the relevant quizzes were due. Is this still the case?
Are the quizzes difficult to obtain high marks on?
Would you recommend this subject as a relatively easy H1 for someone with good essay writing skills?
Does the scaling on this subject make it hard to do well?

Thanks in advance :)

Hi BNard,

I did the subject last year (Sem 2, 2017). They released the recordings of the lectures on the day of the lecture, giving you a full week to watch the lectures and complete the quizzes. I did not go for any of the lectures but was still able to get 49/50 overall on the quizzes. It is highly possible to get full marks on all of them if you pay attention to the questions and are very careful.

I left my essay for SwotVac (which was a mistake in hindsight) and while I didn't do amazingly on it, I was still able to get a decent grade for it and get a comfortable H1 overall.

I would say the payoff/effort ratio for the subject was really high, by far the highest of any subject I've done at uni, so I would definitely recommend the subject.

Thanks for the advice! Good to hear that it is a worthwhile subject :) I'll definitley enrol for S2
