How do you do 10a. I tried to understand the solution but I don't get it

The top row represents the events

The 2nd row represents the probability of each event occurring.

In this case, the events are the change in money you experience (lose 3 dollars, lose 2 dollars, gain 1 dollar, gain 3 dollars)

The probabilities need to be calculated based on a coin having a .5 chance of heads and a .5 chance of tails.
Eg. 1/2 * 1/2 * 1/2 = 1/(2*2*2) = 1/8
