Screw up my trials

I screw up my trials, can I still get a 90 plus ATAR if I ace my HSC exam?
80  English
70 Maths
80 Geography
81 Biology
70 Chemistry

My marks fluctuate throughout the year,
I top my English through the year (screw up trials),
didn't do so well in chemistry and maths overall (average),
Top 2 out of 4 of my assessments ( didn't do so well in the rest including trials, above average) in Geo
Came third in mid yearly in bio (didn't do so well in rest of the assessments )

"The HSC mark is a 50:50 combination of a student’s examination mark and school-based assessment mark for each course." - NESA site.

So, your internal marks (aka all the stuff you've done so far) only makes up 50% of your overall mark. The actual hsc external exams make up the other 50%, so just study hard to go well in these and I'm sure you can get that 90+ atar!!!

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but this is what I've been told at school.
If you are still worried about how you are going, you can always ask your head of year or the head of academics (or the equivalent at your school) for an atar prediction. This won't be 100% accurate and may end up being higher or lower, but will give you some idea as to where your are at right now and how much you need to work.

Hey! As Ellielh says, you absolutely can still get a 90+ if you work hard and smash the exam. Here is a guide on how the process works. You'll be relying on a strong performance from your cohort as well, so make sure you are working with them to bring everybody up (which is important if your ranks aren't what you are happy with) :)

Hey guys.
My trial results weren't the best and now I am worried about not achieving my atar goal of 85+. I go to an average ranked school, somewhere in the 200-300 rank.
Overall, my internal assessment marks and ranks are:
English Advanced (72%) - ranked 24/34
Maths 2 unit (69%) - ranked 52/118
Biology (88%) - 9/42
Chemistry (70%) - 42/58
Physics (65%) - 36/62

Do I still have a chance in getting an atar of 85 or above (if I study really hard and get 85% for externals exams)
I used to be a very academic student, where I would come top 10 in all my subjects, but in year 12 I have burned out all my energy and lost motivation to study.
Could someone please tell me if they have been in my situation and a way of being motivated again. Thank you.
