Access Melbourne

Let's use UoM's Bachelor of Science as an example, the Access Melbourne ATAR is 78.00 and it says "Guaranteed Place" at the bottom. Does this mean if I get 78 or above ATAR (taking into consideration my seas), it's guaranteed I get a place? Or will it still depend on the strength of demand for that particular uni course?

Cheers and good luck with exam revision guys :)!

From memory of last year,  it was guaranteed for particular SEAS categories (financial disadvantage,  rural) and for other categories it depended on their judgement.  Not sure if this has changed.

Yep from my memory too it was guaranteed for rural and financial disadvantage, but the degree of SEAS help you'd get for other categories was more unpredictable. Guarantee means guarantee—if you get 78+ and fit either category you will get in.
