Hi there!

In an ideal world i would love a 40 in Bio. I am a pretty good student, i know the content well and am good at applying it to questions and have performed well in SACs. Our schools SACs are quite challenging. I was probably in the top 5 students in the cohort this year.

When doing practice exams i average about 85-87% and want to know how much i need to boost this in order to get a 40?

Thank you for your help!

85% is usually around a 40 but again, will always fluctuate depending on the year.
I think one year 54/75 was an A+ for one exam which is 72%.

Oh wow - thats interesting (about the large discrepencies in when constitutes an A+ in different years) but i guess it does rely on the students and their performance as a whole.

Hopefully i can perform in the exam and maybe even push for a 42!

Thank you for your insights!
It's much appreciated.

yeah Biology is probably the least reliable subject in terms of what exam scores yields a study score since their is a huge discrepancy between difficulty of certain exams as opposed to something like English or the Maths.

I probably averaged 70% for nearly 3/4 of my exam papers (and ive done around 40 lmao). I probably only got six 80s and two 90s, and i still managed to get a 40+. It shouldn't be about what you get as a score but what you learn from your 85%. Because you can easily get 70s all round but manage to blow the examiners socks off with a 90% in the end! Your scores sound great so far, good luck!
