text- 1984 or look both ways
context- crucible or secret river

i cannot decide which one so im studying them all!

okay i'm just putting it out there...

who is totally freaked out about the exam in 3 days time??
im scared more about the quality not the time factor!

anyone else in the same boat??

yep this is the exam i am most anxious about,
which is stupid because it is my best subject...i think its just the whole notion that it is worth 50% of your study score..

You should allow multiple selections, I am doing Look Both Ways, The Crucible and The Secret River (+ The Kite Runner)

You really sound like you're freaking out! Relax, calm down, getting panicky isn't going to solve any problems. (though I think I should panic because I haven't even done one proper piece for context yet...)


If you're not so strong in English, do the easier text (ie Look Both Ways). You are not going to be marked down just because others also write on this text and do a terrific job. You can get a good mark on it too as long as you fulfil the criteria for the section.

Its just the big hype teachers have over the english exam and the pressure to do well that gets me.

Me too. My marks for English have been better than any other subject, yet its causing me the most stress. I think it's because there's less certainty in English as to what you might get asked.
